- 'P·790' badge moved to the centre of the back, on a mirrored polished bar spanning the head (2021/2023 had it on the heel side)
- No prominent 'TUNGSTEN' text on the back; cleaner, P770-like badging
- Tour Satin Scratch finish with a machined texture etched beneath the P·790 logo

- Straight, satin-finished bar across the middle of the back (the 2021 mirrored chrome curved band is gone)
- 'TUNGSTEN' moved to the toe side of the upper back; 'P·790' on the heel side of the upper bar
- Pearl/tour satin finish over most of the head with T logo and toe screw on the toe side

- Polished chrome, triangular/curved band across the back cavity (replaces the 2019 rectangular dark bar)
- 'P·790' and 'TUNGSTEN' both printed on the heel side of the back, stacked one above the other
- TaylorMade 'T' logo remains on the toe side; brighter overall chrome look than 2019

- Rectangular white/silver-framed window insert near the toe on the upper back, beside the toe screw port

Compare the back of the club head (badge shape and colour, cavity design) and the text on the sole or hosel. Retail receipts and the original box label also show the year. The serial number on the hosel can be checked with the manufacturer.
